Seva Vastra Project – DG Visits Jeevandhara Happy Home
- On Saturday, January 4th, 2025, our District Governor Rtn Rajinder Singh Khurana paid a visit to Jeevandhara Happy Home, coinciding with the OCV day. This occasion was made even more special by the members of community services, who, under the project “Seva Vastra,” distributed brand new clothes to all the inmates of Jeevandhara.
- The female staff of Jeevandhara were gifted beautiful sarees, while the male staff received new clothes. This generous act of kindness was made possible by the contributions of Rtn Rekha Kriplani, Rtn Khushboo and Manan Murarka and an anonymous donor.
- It is heartwarming to see such selfless acts of kindness, spreading joy and warmth to those who need it most. Kudos to the team behind “Seva Vastra” for their wonderful initiative.
- Under the inspiring leadership of Rota Kids Director Dr. Sushana Madnani, the Rota Kids team successfully raised ₹3,600 through their enthusiastic stall efforts. With a generous spirit, they decided to utilize these funds to bring joy to the residents of Jeevandhara Happy Home.
- In a heartwarming display, the Rota Kids team sponsored a delicious lunch for all inmates and staff under the uplifting initiative ‘One Meal One Smile.’
- The highlight of the event was when District Governor Rtn Rajinder Singh Khurana, along with Rotarians and Rota Kids, personally served lunch to the inmates, spreading love and warmth throughout the home.
- Rtn Khushboo Murarka shares her thoughts – “It was a wonderful experience. Earlier we have donated used clothes several times, but this time we gave the inmates brand new clothes so they received it with a lot of excitement and gratitude. As kids we have always received New Year gifts but giving New Year gifts was so satisfying, I feel I could gift little bit of happiness to them which is priceless. The inmates were also happy to talk and share what they do.”
