The JAIPUR FOOT PROJECT (Artificial Limb Distribution Project) is a beacon of hope for individuals who have lost a part of themselves but refuse to lose their spirit.
This noble project of RCNN since last consecutive 3 years is dedicated to empowering individuals with prosthetic limbs, helping them move beyond their limitations, rediscover their confidence and also be self-sufficient.
This year RCNN expanded its services beyond the city limits and carried out this noble project at in tribal area of Gadchiroli from 5th March -11th March.
At first, huge applauses to District Head for Jaipur Foot project PP Jyotika Kapoor, and District project chair Rtn. Nand Tahilyani and Medical Director Rtn. Shyam Wadhwani who had been working tirelessly for this project in a tribal area.
Beneficiaries: Around 170/180 patients visited the camp.
Not only Gadchiroli villagers, we had people coming from the surrounding areas- traveling from over 200/300 kms to get the benefit. A 6-year-old boy, a young engineer, surrendered naxalites, a gangrene amputee and many others who were struggling even with their day-to-day activities – got a ray of hopeto live a meaningful life.
Total- 114 patients were given prosthetic limbs, some advised for corrective surgeries and many given crutches.
A heartfelt thanks to DG Rtn Rajinder Khurrana Sir, District Secretary Projects Rtn Virendra Patrikar, District Joint Secretary Rtn Kamlesh Chotwani, District Tribal Chair Rtn Rajeev Warbe, District Jaipur Foot Chair Rtn Jyotika Kapoor, District secretary Jaipur Foot. – Rtn. Nand Tahilyani, Other District Officers as well as the dedicated Rotarians of RC Gadchiroli for their presence and support in this project. We also appreciate the presence of Club Trainer PP Ajay Kapoor, Medical Director Rtn. S G Wadhwani, President Elect Rtn Vinay Dara, and Rotary Lord Rtn. Raju Manghani.
The support received from Gadchiroli Police is beyond words of appreciation. They also recognized the event as a truly noble initiative, appreciating the immense effort and dedication that went into making it a great success.
Last but not the least, can’t forget to mention the incredible support, dedication and volunteering by our own club members, the directors, the new members, respected past presidents, the Anns, even a rotakid- creating time and travelling 8 hours a day- says it all.
